The India vs Pakistan match, which was the most anticipated league game for the ODI World Cup is now set to be pre-scheduled by a day. After consultation between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), International Cricket Council and BCCI host boards, an agreement was made for a change of schedule. Originally scheduled to occur on 15 October but moved due to it falling on Navaratri (first day).
Reports by ESPNCricinfo indicate that Pakistan have agreed to play India at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 14 October. The PCB has formed a committee to decide on the final decision regarding Pakistan’s participation at the tournament. However, it is expected that Pakistan will be travelling to India.
Babar Azam’s team will play the Netherlands in their first match on 6 October (per the ODI World Cup Schedule), and India on 15 October. The two arch-rivals are now set to meet the day before.
