Kierra: A Rising Star in Academic and Professional Life

Kierra’s academic ability was well-recognized. She was a freshman at the University of Nevada Reno Honors College. Her teachers and peers were impressed by her academic and personal dedication.

Her career was also impressive. Kierra worked two jobs at the same time over the summer. She worked full-time for the U.S. Forest Service, but also part-time as a Pony Expresso employee. It was a testimony to her determination and work ethic that she managed to maintain multiple commitments.

A Passion for Adventure and Nature

Kierra was a true outdoor enthusiast with a passion for adventure. She often traveled to Alaska and the Methow Valley in order to follow her passions. Nature was a constant source of strength and comfort for her throughout her life. It helped to shape who she became as an individual.

Kierra was a skilled horsewoman, whose love for animals and strong character shone through her horsemanship. She left many in awe and further cemented her reputation as an individual who was passionate and determined.

Mourning as a Community and Healing

We mourn Kierra’s death as a community with sadness. Each individual will grieve in a different way: some people may want to be alone, while others seek comfort by being around others. It is important to respect each individual’s grief response while also supporting each other through this difficult time.

The community came together to support Kierra’s parents and honor her memory by creating a website called the “Methow Family”.
The website offers resources to those in need of support, and allows contributions via a Meal Train account and GoFundMe.
