The Stamford promotion, which has its headquarters in Stamford, recently signed a new sponsorship agreement with Slim Jim. This is the largest sponsorship deal ever made by the company and industry.
In the release from WWE, Slim Jim announced they had entered into the largest sponsorship deal in the history of wrestling. Slim Jim is the new title sponsor for all WWE marquee events. Slim Jim will continue to sponsor SummerSlam’s big matches.
WWE will also hold a Battle Royal featuring 20 wrestlers at SummerSlam. The match will feature superstars such as LA Knight, Sheamus, AJ Styles, Karrion kross and others from WWE. Knight is currently the favorite for the match, but reports haven’t confirmed the rumor.
In the press release, the companies also discussed their shared history. The press release also referred to the famous Randy Savage ads from the 1980s & 1990s. The Macho Man, who was then the spokesperson for Slim Jim is still remembered by many fans. Slim Jim is the title sponsor of the Survivor Series in 2020, the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania40 2024.
Sponsorship deals may have affected SummerSlam’s match cards

SummerSlam was the perfect place to have the rubber match, as this feud has lasted for months. The two will instead have their blow-off on a later episode of Monday Night Raw.
